Here is the 2013 PSP schedule of events with venues and dates. As usual, the league is claiming that the season will be bigger and better than ever. Usually I would dismiss this as hype that gets thrown out there every year to try to get more people to play the series etc… But, this year just might be a little different.
Last year we seen the incorporation of a live webcast on some of the PSP events and Cup. For the most part, I thought it was an enormous success. This year, the webcast will return for viewers to cheer on their favorite teams. Good stuff. This year the PSP also will be bringing the UWL (Ultimate Woodsball League) into the mix which I think is an excellent way to get people introduced to all types of paintball.
The are estimating an average of 130 – 330 teams per event and they plan on hosting 5 major events across the USA starting in Dallas, TX with Cup being held in Polk City, FL at Fantasy of Flight. I’ll drop the schedule below for those of you interested.

Here is what the PSP themselves had to say about the 2013 PSP paintball series:
PSP 2013: Going Big
Last season, 7,760 unique players competed in the PSP circuit. 1,973 of those players were international – representing 38 countries from around the world. The domestic competitors came from all 50 states. Over 50 different companies participated in the 2012 PSP Trade Shows. Over 100,000 fans follow the PSP on Facebook. Big things are always happening at the PSP. While we’d love to provide you with all the details of the 2012 off-season, we will just share what matters most: The PSP 2013 season will be bigger and better than ever.
Starting with our Season Opener held just outside of Dallas, TX where the city’s slogan is “Big Things Happen Here”. March 15 – 17, 2013 paintball players, vendors and fans from all over the world will suddenly pick up a southern drawl as they descend upon Dallas, Texas to compete for the toughest title in our sport: PSP Champions.
Going big for 2013, the PSP is moving it’s Texas season-opener to the city of Dallas. The new venue, Cousins Paintball, is conveniently located 20 minutes east of downtown Dallas just off Interstate 20. The facility is over 250-acres; the largest in Texas. The park offers woods, rivers, open fields, air ball, hyper ball and other theme fields. The PSP will be offering RaceTo play as well as Pump and Woodsball through the UWL.
The PSP Dallas Open will be a three-day event (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) with the Trade Show and Team Check-In beginning on Thursday, March 14th. Finals will be held on St. Patrick’s Day (Sunday, March 17th) so be sure to wear your lucky green in the finals and stay Sunday night to celebrate with the PSP!
So as you can see, bigger and better than ever. It may just make me believe it this year. But, there’s only one way to find out for sure. Let’s play some paintball! I’m ready for this season. Are you?
