Paintball Sports Promotions, also known as PSP for those of you who don’t know, has officially announced the changes to field length and field layout for the 2013 paintball tournament season.
They have stated that the field will be reduced to 150’x120′ boundary to boundary. They have also stated that they are adding 2 more bunkers to each side of the field for a total of 4 more new bunkers added. To me, this means a tighter, faster playing field with opportunity to see a bit more action.
Some people are saying that they think this will make the games more fast paced. Personally I think it will a bit but it may not knock off a significant amount of time. But I’m not too worried about that. The more paintball action there is, the more happy I am!

PSP 2013 Field Adjustments
Happy New Year to our teams, sponsors, staff and fans! The PSP has been very busy in the off-season spending weeks in meetings working on many developments for the 2013 season including enhancements to the referee program, field adjustments, new marketing initiatives and of course locking in the event dates and venues.
After careful consideration, the league has elected to put the following field changes in place:
1) Two additional bunkers will be placed on each side of the field for a total of 4 additional bunkers.
2) The playing field will be reduced to 150 ft x 120 ft boundary to boundary.
